No Time to Stare
These days there is so little time to do anything that this W.H. Davies poem sounds so apt.
Leisure
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
Well, it is in this busy times that I have learnt the virtue of giving some time to "stand and stare". Earlier, I used to wonder where is the time for leisure when there is so much to do. But then you do realize that there are ways to do things if you manage time efficiently and not procrastinate. Deadlines after deadline have taught me these things, so I guess I am better at doing things better. That is the silver lining. But then there are only more deadlines :P. And there is some leisure round the corner :)

Everyone seems to have got the poetry bug....to many blogs on one poetry or the other,
But this one was good too :)
wow...I liked this funda "there are only more deadlines :P. And there is some leisure round the corner :) "
I am getting some kudos for some smart one-liners, something I can't imagine myself doing. Those come straight from the heart, so I guess it strikes a chord :).
