Rich Dad, Poor Dad - A Page out of Ayn Rand's philosophy
Rich Dad, Poor Dad is ostensibly a book about the ways and thinkings of the rich as contrasted with that of the middle class and poor people. This insight is provided through the author's unique position of having been influenced by his biological father, an academic whom he refres to as him "poor dad" and his friend's father, whom he refers to as his "rich dad". There are some good quotes in the book and a lot of attitude talk. I couldn't but notice that all of his ideas boiled down of Ayn Rand's objectivist philosophy. Throughout the book Robert Kiyosaki preaches capitalism, individualism and materialism propounded in The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged (which I am still reading).
Some good quotes from the book :
- Everyone wants to go to Heaven, but no one wants to die.
- Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You will be damned if you do it, and damned if you don't.
- Emotion is energy in motion
- Job means Just-Over-Broke
- Winning means being unafraid to lose
In between all this, he talks about investing , accounting, assets and liabilities. If you can ignore all that and read the rest, its a good one to read.

Read this webpage before deciding that Kiyosaki is great. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. He is offering dangerous advice.
Atlas and The Fountainhead, on the other hand, are excellent.
